Terms & Conditions

These terms govern your use of the LekkerContracts website and the documents you generate through it. By using the service you agree to them.

Last updated: 1 September 2026

1. Who we are

LekkerContracts is a South African legal document automation service. We provide software that assembles contracts from templates using the answers you give us. We are not a law firm, we are not an attorney, and we do not practise law.

Our contact address for all notices is hello@lekkercontracts.co.za.

2. What the service does

You select a document, answer the intake questions, pay, and receive a PDF assembled from a template drafted against South African legislation. You are responsible for the accuracy of the answers you give. A document generated from incorrect information will be incorrect.

Some documents require facts we cannot verify — earnings thresholds, job descriptions, property details. We validate what we can and warn you where a statutory limit applies, but the final responsibility for the content of your agreement remains yours.

3. No legal advice, no attorney-client relationship

Nothing on this site and nothing in a generated document is legal advice. Using LekkerContracts does not create an attorney-client relationship and creates no legal professional privilege.

For high-value, disputed, unusual or cross-border arrangements, have an admitted attorney review your document before signature.

4. Your licence to use the documents

On payment you receive a perpetual, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the generated document for your own business or household purposes, including amending it and re-using it for the same arrangement.

  • You may not resell, sub-licence, publish or distribute our templates or generated documents as a product or template library of your own.
  • You may not scrape, copy or reverse-engineer the template wording, the intake logic or the clause library.
  • You may share a completed document with the other parties to it, their advisers, and any regulator or court that requires it.

5. Payment and pricing

All prices are quoted in South African Rand and include value-added tax where applicable. Payment is taken before the document is unlocked. A locked preview showing headings and structure is available before payment so you can see what you are buying.

Bundle prices apply only to the documents listed in the bundle and are not redeemable for cash or credit against other documents.

6. Electronic signatures

Our built-in signing tool creates an ordinary electronic signature as contemplated by the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002. That is valid for the documents in our library.

A small number of documents require a wet-ink signature or an advanced electronic signature in South African law — wills, most property transfers, bills of exchange and suretyships in certain circumstances. We tell you where that applies. Signing such a document electronically may render it invalid.

Each signature is recorded with the signer's name, email address, timestamp, IP address and browser, and that evidence record is appended to the signed PDF.

7. Availability

We aim to keep the service available at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. We may suspend the service for maintenance, and we will give notice where that is reasonably possible.

We keep your generated documents available for re-download for at least 12 months from the date of purchase.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from your use of the service is limited to the amount you paid us for the document concerned.

We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including loss of profit, business interruption, or the outcome of any dispute, CCMA referral or litigation involving a document generated here.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited in law, including liability under section 61 of the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 or for fraud.

9. Your obligations

You agree that you will not use the service to:

  • Create a document intended to defraud, mislead or unlawfully disadvantage another person.
  • Enter information about another person without a lawful basis for doing so under POPIA.
  • Circumvent payment, share access credentials, or automate access to the generator.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the law or the service changes. The version published on this page at the time of your purchase governs that purchase. Material changes will be announced on the site.

11. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Please raise any complaint with us first — most issues are resolved within a few days. Failing that, the parties consent to the jurisdiction of the Magistrate's Court having jurisdiction, without prejudice to your rights under the Consumer Protection Act.
